Nigel Mooney has long been regarded as Ireland's leading blues guitarist. A charismatic figure on the Dublin jazz and blues scenes since the early 1980's, his Gripewater Blues Band spearheaded the blues movement in Ireland and drew many fans of both jazz and the blues.

Having played with the likes of B. B. King, Lowell Fulson, Louisiana Red and many more from the Chicago scenes and beyond, Mooney's bluesy guitar style crosses the jazz boundaries and he has appeared with Georgie Fame, Joey de Francesco, Russell Malone, Peter Ind, Louis Stewart and Bobby Watson. 

Nigel Mooney's BLT are the resident jazz trio in The Brook Lodge Hotel, Macreddin, Co. Wicklow, every Friday night. Trio available for functions as is larger band- see above.
